Kayla Lopez is the Director of National Partnerships for VIQTORY, a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business Enterprise that operates in Moon, Pennsylvania. Focused on leading the efforts behind the Military Friendly Brand. For over a decade she has worked to improve and bolsters diversity and inclusion programs. She has assisted hundreds of the Top Military Friendly® Employers in developing veteran and military spouse programs that enhance recruitment and retention. With expertise in recruitment and retention programs include topics such as translating military experience, Veteran Resource Groups, Diversity Self-Identification, Outreach and Federal Partnerships, Tax Credits, Creating Inclusive Requisitions, Workforce Engagement and satisfaction, underemployment, and recruitment marketing. She has been an innovator in the community, an active panelist, as well a public speaker, a true advocate for the Military Community, influencing evolution and growth in Military Programs and iniatives nationally.
She has over 17 years of experience in workforce development including operating as the former Director of Human Resources for ICI, a US-Based International marketing firm with an office in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Her tenacity, commitment, and dedication have helped to change veteran and military spouse programs in some of the most prestigious organizations across the nation. Her knowledge and deep understanding of OFCCP requirements have helped organizations ensure they maintain compliance with federal regulations and expand equal labor force opportunities while eliminating discrimination and unconscious bias in the workplace.
Kayla volunteers her time assisting organizations to make a difference in the veteran community. She has contributed countless hours with organizations such as Veterans Place of Washington Boulevard, an organization that assists veterans to overcome chronic mental illness, homelessness, and other barriers while reacclimating themselves to the civilian workforce. She is also a member of the Fort Pitt Chapter, Association of the United States Army and sits as Chairman of the Board for the Armed Forces Equestrian Center, AFEC is an equine therapy program with a focus on military families. Kayla also served on the Pittsburgh Veterans Initiative Group Board (Out of the Office of Federal Contract Compliance) as the Chair for the Events and Marketing subcommittee. Kayla is also a Member of the New York Veterans roundtable, The Chicago Club, VOWS (Veterans of Wallstreet), and PVEC Pittsburgh Veterans Employment Coalition. Most recently she has been invited to join the board of Pittsburgh Warriors Hockey which is a 501(c)(3) organization. Honorably discharged service members with a service-connected disability united around hockey and dedicated to provide a cathartic experience, promote physical and mental healing, and growth as well as enabling team members to be even more productive members of society.
